Tonight is a night for Camels
it is a night for saying “fuck” a lot
for staying up past my bedtime
for pushing the limits and drinking too much coffee
for consuming too many scones.
it is a night for crazy stories
and laughing about stupid things
just because I’m still awake and I can
Tonight is a night for idle despair
For ceasing to care about tomorrow,
for living only for this moment.
It is a night that sets me free from the “professional”
and awakens the hippie writer in me.
Tonight is a night
I feel alive.
